Adults

Ashland seeks to be strategic with our various ministry teams that are designed to come alongside men and women at various stages of life. Our overall goal in having ministry for adults is to provide them with effective accountability and resources necessary for living out the gospel in the culture.

Access College Ministry exists to connect college students to the local church, engage their lives with gospel-centered ministry and equip students for life long disciple-making.

Goals

  • To promote a radical commitment to Christ and the gospel
  • To delight in the bold work of evangelism and missions
  • To produce responsible servants of the church
  • To capitalize on the unique gifts of college-aged adults for the glory of Christ

Ongoing Ministries

  • Access Lunch and Q&A
Join us for a free lunch and great community every Sunday immediately after service in the family center.  Learn how to apply God’s word to your life and hear answers to difficult cultural and biblical questions.

Annual Events

  • Peru Spring Break Mission Trip
We challenge our college-aged adults to commit to use this unique time in life in sacrificial service of God’s kingdom and church. Each spring break, we take a group of students to a mountainous region in Peru called Cordova, to continue our church’s ongoing efforts of reaching the Quechua people who previously had no access to the gospel.
  • Fall Leadership Retreat
Each fall semester we take a group of leaders away for a quiet weekend of planning and reflection.
  • Fall Get-A-Way
Join us for a fall get-a-way to a cabin at the Red River Gorge.  Here students get the opportunity to share their testimonies and enjoy a hike in God’s beautiful creation!
  • Winter Retreat
Don’t miss the chance to ski and snowboard at Perfect North.  All college students, both International and American are welcome!

The Men’s Ministry of Ashland exists to equip and encourage men to follow God through Christ in reverent, humble submission, and lead others with loving, bold aggression.

Forged Men’s Ministry Activities

At Ashland we are calling our men to flesh out such a vision for manhood. We do this through informal accountability relationships, as well as, formal ministry opportunities and events. These are a few of our ministry opportunities.

  • Forged Men’s Conference. This is a half-day conference design specifically men. The conference consists of a fellowship breakfast, plenary sessions, and breakout sessions led by Ashland staff and members. Each year focuses on a different theme, which is used as the focus for the men’s ministry throughout the year. This conference takes place each August.
  • Quarterly Forged Together Breakfast. Each quarter the men of Ashland gather for a fellowship breakfast accompanying by a time of teaching focusing on the central yearly theme.

The Women’s Ministry of Ashland exists to spread a passion for the supremacy of Christ among women by calling women to delight in God’s design for their lives as revealed in the Scriptures. This mission is accomplished through: Bible Studies, Retreats and Conferences, Ministry Opportunities, Special Events, and Relationships.

Women’s Minsitry Activities

Bible Studies

  • Precept Bible Study. For women desiring to dive deeply into God’s Word and gain foundational Bible study skills this class should be a priority. The class meets on Monday nights @ 7:00 PM. The study uses the Kay Arthur materials and thrives on group discussion.
  • Transformation Studies (Wednesday Evening). This class provides diverse, biblically faithful opportunities for spiritual growth. The study sessions vary from 8-12 weeks and nourish women in Biblical truth and vital relationships with other women. The Wednesday evening group meets from 6:30-7:30 PM. There are studies offered each fall and spring.

Retreats & Conferences

Our Women’s Ministry offers retreats and/or conferences for relationship building, focused learning, and spiritual renewal. We desire to minister to the women of Ashland with these opportunities but also to reach out to other women who long for spiritual growth and those who do not know Christ. Be listening for information regarding our next retreat/conference.
